How to make a Christmas cracker for your puppy

The wait is almost over. Soon it’ll be your puppy’s first Christmas! Eeekk!

And I’m sure you’ve been shopping for fabulous gifts for your new 4-legged friend.

But it is hard to know what they’ll enjoy the most. Where to spend your hard-earned cash.

I get it, I really do. The amount of money I’ve spent on toys and other paraphernalia for my own dogs that have been cast to the side is unreal!

So today, I’m going to share a simple and cheap DIY Christmas puppy gift that I know they’ll LOVE!

In this blog post we’ll provide a step-by-step guide on how to make a Christmas cracker for your puppy.

How to make a Christmas cracker for your puppy

Step 1

Gather your supplies. You will need:

  • Your puppy’s dry food or treats.

Soft food or treats can get squashed onto the cardboard so don’t work as well. If you’d like some help with how you can adapt this for your puppy’s needs, please get in touch.

  • Scissors
  • Old wrapping paper
  • A cardboard tube from inside a toilet roll / kitchen roll or the wrapping paper itself

Click the video below for an example of the supplies you need.

Step 2

Cut the wrapping paper twice the width of your cardboard tube and add 10 cm in length.

Step 3

Place the cardboard tube in the centre of your paper and roll it up.

Step 4

Squeeze and twist one end of your paper and fold over.
