1 to 1 dog training and behaviour in Barrow-in-Furness: Delivering remarkable results

Move from “dreading the walk” to being proud of your dog

Puppies grow up fast.

At the age of 6 months old, they’re entering the adolescent phase of their development. And to say this period of their life is difficult for the guardian and dog alike is an understatement!

You might be wondering where has my little 4-legged friend gone?

Once upon a time, they never left your side. They had focus and attention whilst out on a walk. They walked nicely on the lead.

But suddenly, they see another dog, person or animal and they’re off. Like a shot! No amount of calling or rustling of a treat bag is getting their attention.

You dread getting pulled down the street for the walk you once enjoyed together.

Know that you’re not alone.

Many guardians face similar challenges with their dogs during adolescence, particularly when dealing with barking, anxiety, or other behavioral concerns.

The sooner you sign up, the better!

We cannot recommend Lindsay highly enough, she has been absolutely brilliant, so patient with us as Spike’s guardians.

When we first got Spike we thought we could train him ourselves by reading books or internet searches, but there is so much conflicting advice out there, we all ended up confused!

We wish we had signed up sooner, but were hesitant about only being able to train via a zoom call due to lockdown restrictions. We need not have worried as the two zoom sessions we had worked as well as the three ‘in person’ sessions.

We have learned so much from Lindsay, anything you ask her about she was able to help with advice or useful tips.

We feel more confident now that we have the skills to continue with Spike’s ongoing training.

If you are thinking of training for your dog, our advice would be not to delay, the sooner you sign up with Lindsay the better. The investment is definitely worth it.
